Training

Our training sessions are held regularly throughout the year in all of the three triathlon disciplines Fitness levels do not matter, we all have to start somewhere. Our sessions are planned so that our members reach peak fitness during the competition session.

We have two swim sessions, Sunday mornings, (adult and youth), 7:30am, in Farnham Leisure Centre and Tuesday evenings, in Aldershot Garrison, (adult only), at 7:30pm. The pool in Aldershot Garrison is 50 metres. In the summer we have bike training at the Kart track in Blackbushe Airport on Thursday evenings, (adult and youth), at 7:00pm. The track is billiard table smooth, and it is an enclosed environment. On Monday evenings at 7:30pm we have running track sessions, (adult only), at Aldershot Military Stadium, Queens Rd. For all three disciplines, our coaches design sessions to improve your speed, endurance and technique. Our sessions are suitable for triathletes of all abilities.

Occasionally we have specialised training such as a six-week block of swimming technique sessions using video analysis and very high coach to swimmers ratio. In the summer at Blackbushe we also have bike / running Brick sessions. It is an opportunity to also concentrate on the fourth triathlon discipline, transition.

The club also runs numerous events including socials where club members can meet up. We also have more energetic events for members such as the Southern Counties Cross Country League. We have a number of key races that we return to each year such as Hart Sprint Triathlon and the National Team Triathlon Championship.
